it seems that my boyfriend, often potrayed in stick-figure form by julia and me, is in fact a stick figure from xkcd.
he forgets my name sometimes, and wears odd t-shirts [maybe if my shirt is witty enough someone will love me] etc.

on feminity and feminism…

my feminist rant was granted an “A” from Ms. Duryea. nifty. i wrote about hunger strikes and tactics, and if you haven’t seen the movie Iron-jawed Angels, with Hilary Swank, you really should. the force feeding scene is more than a little gross, but so is the way our country used to treat women.

i am becoming more feminine as of late, at the advice of my friend john. i am a feminist, but when it’s all said and done, john is my boyfriend’s best friend and my foremost source on what men want. so i discovered, quite shockingly, that despite my hatred of makeup, hair products, and scent, mostly due to allergies but obstensibly out of feminist duty, it turns out all i needed to keep my hair from its eternal static-y cloud is a spritz of Infusium moisturizing stuff in the mornings. i’ve also taken up online shopping, unfortunately. i’ve loved modcloth for about two years now, and today i found the perfect complements to fred flare’s heart shaped glasses, should it occur to me to imitate a girl in a marilyn manson video. behold, the shop around the corner top, the belle of the ball skirt, the grosgrain ribbon heels. of course, i hate heels and can’t walk in them, and am pretty tall anyway, but i like ribbon. and, of course, the original video in all its glory.

here’s my chosen prom dress over at heartbreaker fashion. and here is the dress i would want just because, if i ever had the power to be the sexy type. it’s slinky and black and tight and i swear, the day i finish losing ten pounds and gain a cup size, i am spending the $81.25 to buy that dress.

incidentally, dee snider of twisted sister called barracuda the sexiest rock song ever. i’m not sure how i feel about that. i don’t know what i’d choose, but i’d choose something better. suggest?

hey all. i’m sorry i haven’t been around. i’ve been especially busy with mock trial; we compete on the 27th! as second chair defense lawyer, wish me luck!

also, school has been hellish. i am here now because of a mixed blessing; a sinus infection.
